Fogging

In the cleaning industry, we face odor problems almost daily, and no matter how much experience we gain, or how-much training we get, controlling odors can still be a challenge.

There is a huge difference between cleaning and disinfecting your home to prevent the spread of coronavirus or other airborne illnesses and controlling odor. Regular and even professional cleaning services don’t always kill harmful germs, bacteria, and other contaminants. Using the proper disinfecting chemicals is key to preventing the spread of these harmful contaminants and keeping your home truly clean and odor free.

Thermal fogging delivers excellent odor and deodorizing control when properly created and applied.

Thermal fogging resembles the very small size of smoke particles, driving the particles deep inside tiny cracks, crevices and pores of surfaces, just as the original smoke deposits were created.

Fogging is only one part of the deodorization process, which includes suppression spraying with a pressurized sprayer and thorough removal of as much of the odor source as possible by vacuuming and hand-cleaning surfaces. There are some odor sources, such as tobacco smoke, that may require different procedures and specially-formulated products.

We are certified and have extensive experience in odor remediation and removal of all types. We utilize the necessary equipment needed to remedy odor problems encountered in the home and as an independent company and are not limited to any particular brand or variety of chemicals.

We start by selecting the most adequate chemicals and equipment from trusted brands best suited to your specific odor removal needs and combine this with our experience to gain positive results. We can perform complete tear-outs if needed, but we have many solutions on hand that can avoid this and are often a less invasive alternative. There is no such thing as one type of chemical or practice that is efficient at removing all types of odor, and companies that emphasize masking odors usually only provide temporary relief from odor problems.

Types of odors we remove

  • Biohazard Odor Remediation and Removal
  • Pet Urine Odor
  • Cigar or Cigarette Smoke Odor
  • House Fire Smoke Odor
  • Unattended Death or Bodily Fluid Odor
  • Hoarder Home Biohazard Odor
  • Garbage, Mold or Mildew or Water Damage Odor

It’s important to follow some general safety tips to safety to occupants, workers and the building.

  • Make sure all residents and pets have left the area.
  • Let the local fire department know about your intentions so nearby neighbors don’t call the fire department when they see “smoke” escaping outside from the thermal fog deodorization.
  • Post notices indicating that odor remediation fogging is in progress, and indicate a time when occupants may return to the area.
  • Technicians working with thermal foggers should be wearing respirators, eye protection and skin protection.

Before Fogging, You should:

  • Cover or disable smoke detectors.
  • Cover fish tanks and food containers.
  • Close all exterior windows and doors.
  • Open all cabinets, closets and drawers in the affected area.
  • Drawers should be stair-stepped — bottom drawer opened furthest, next drawer opened slightly less and so on.
